Odle Legal
Portal Terms of Use
Effective July 7, 20261. Purpose of the portal
The Odle Legal client portal is provided for client communication, document exchange, appointment requests, billing information, payment proof uploads, matter updates, and access to general legal information. The portal is intended to support legal services provided by Odle Legal and does not replace direct communication with the office when direct communication is required.
2. No emergency or time-critical use
Do not use the portal for emergencies, urgent deadlines, court filing deadlines, limitation periods, or time-critical instructions unless Odle Legal has expressly confirmed that portal use is appropriate for that specific purpose. If a matter is urgent, contact the office directly using the contact details provided to you.
3. Legal advice and engagement
General legal information in the portal is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not legal advice for any particular person or matter. Legal advice is provided only through a formal engagement or an existing client matter with Odle Legal. Submitting a consultation request or creating a portal account does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship unless Odle Legal confirms the engagement.
4. Client responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your contact details current, reviewing portal messages and documents, uploading complete and legible files, and promptly telling Odle Legal about corrections or missing information. You are also responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for using a strong password that you do not use on other services.
5. Account security
You must not share your portal account with anyone else. If you believe your password, email account, device, or portal access has been compromised, notify Odle Legal immediately. Odle Legal may suspend or disable an account where necessary to protect client confidentiality, investigate suspicious activity, comply with professional obligations, or maintain the security of the portal.
6. Documents and messages
Documents and messages uploaded through the portal should relate only to your legal matter. You should not upload unlawful, malicious, misleading, or irrelevant material. Odle Legal may organize, rename, archive, or remove portal documents as needed for matter management, recordkeeping, security, or legal compliance.
7. Electronic communications
By using the portal, you agree that Odle Legal may send portal notices, password reset messages, appointment updates, document notices, billing notices, and matter communications electronically. You understand that email and internet-based systems carry risks, including delay, misdelivery, unauthorized access, service interruption, and technical failure.
8. Payments and billing
Billing information shown in the portal is provided for convenience and recordkeeping. If there is any conflict between the portal display and an issued invoice, receipt, engagement letter, or written communication from Odle Legal, the formal document or written communication will control unless corrected by Odle Legal. Uploading payment proof does not mean a payment has been received or accepted until it is reviewed and confirmed by the office.
9. Availability and changes
The portal may be unavailable during maintenance, hosting issues, backups, security reviews, or events outside the control of Odle Legal. Features may be added, changed, limited, or removed over time. Odle Legal may update these terms when the portal, law office practices, or legal requirements change.
10. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to bypass access controls, access another person's matter, test the security of the portal without written authorization, upload malware, interfere with service operation, or use the portal for any unlawful or abusive purpose.
11. Limitation of portal use
The portal is a communication and matter-management tool. It is not a guarantee of any legal outcome, uninterrupted service, or immediate review of submissions. Odle Legal remains responsible for legal services only as set out in the applicable engagement terms and professional obligations.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms or your portal access should be directed to Odle Legal at managingpartner@adrianodlelaw.com.
